2024 SDB General Conference memory verses

The theme of the 2024 session of General Conference is "Unearth The Church," which was selected by this year's Conference president, Pastor Johnmark Camenga.  He also selected monthly scripture memory verses, which will be added here each month, starting with September.

Psalms 127:1-2 - NASB

Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it;

Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to retire late, to eat the bread of painful labors;

For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.

Colossians 2:6-7 - NASB

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

1 John 2:15-17 - NASB

Do not love the world nor the things in the world.

If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes

and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
The world is passing away, and also its lusts;

but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

Psalms 1:1-3 - NASB

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,

Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.

2 Timothy 1:9 - NIV

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.

Romans 12:2 - NIV

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.
